Can't get enough of LEGO or Lord of the Rings? Those two great tastes will taste even greater together come next week, when Feral Interactive unleashes a Mac version of its latest video game mashup.
As first noted by The Loop, Feral Interactive announced on Tuesday that LEGO Lord of the Rings for Mac will arrive next Thursday, February 21. The title is the latest pop culture sensation to get the LEGO treatment, with Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones and others having already successfully made the transition.
LEGO Lord of the Rings allows Mac gamers to "become Frodo and over 80 other playable characters and embark on an epic quest across an open-world version of Middle-earth" in this "lighthearted and imaginative retelling of the renowned movie trilogy."
The title also features cooperative multiplayer gameplay, a feature of other recent LEGO video games which allows a second player to join in (or exit) the fun at any time.
LEGO Lord of the Rings will be available for $29.99 on the Mac App Store, Mac Game Store and Feral website on February 21, 2013.
