Mac OS X Lion ships with a brand new version of the Safari web browser. Version 5.1 of Safari gives many new features, including the much anticipated Reading List. But, Apple has also included some new gestures for Safari that gives the web browser more of an iPad feel.
Pinch-to-Zoom

The ever-so-useful feature of Pinch-to-Zoom has finally made its way to Safari. A feature similar to this has been in previous versions of Safari, but it just increased the text size on the page; using this feature, you can zoom in on elements on web pages just as you would on an iPad. Using the trackpad on your MacBook, or a Magic Trackpad, place your thumb and index finger on the trackpad and pinch apart to zoom into the webpage. To zoom out, pinch your fingers towards each other.

Tap-to-Zoom

Another feature is Tap-to-Zoom, which allows you to center your mouse cursor over top of the text you’d like to zoom in on, then tap twice on the trackpad using two fingers. Safari will automatically zoom to fill the elements across the width of the browser.
Navigating Through History

To navigate back or forward in your browsing history, you are able to place two fingers on the trackpad and slide either left or right. A new a page slide animation now appears in Safari 5.1. You may remember that in previous version of Safari, a three finger swipe left or right would move forward or back in the browsing history.
