We actually shouldn't say that because saying that word is like muttering Beetlejuice three times in a row--something awful happens, like some writer somewhere is just stuck and may never finish their novel because you dared to utter that evil phrase. Hopefully these apps will get you out of your situation and into the zone--where words flow out of your fingers like water out of a hose. Free flowin'.
Mac
QuickNote

When text edit just isn't enough to satisfy your cravings for the virtual feel of penning a novel on a piece of paper, use QuickNote to jot down ideas, to-do lists and story outlines on your Mac. It's a very simple application that lets you type, edit, copy and paste snippets, and search through your notes.
iPhone
Handwriting
This app comes from the same guys who brought you the uber Penultimate. Use the free Handwriting app to pen -- pun intended -- quick notes to your loved ones, and then save them and email them as attachments. The handwriting comes out looking like it was done with an ink pen. When you're all finished, shake your iPhone to undo it!
iPad
Doodle Buddy
Don't feel like writing? Sometimes it helps to doodle your idea. So, Doodle Buddy for iPad lets you do that with the ability to use multiple fingers (yes, like in grade school), stamp all over your pictures and choose from quite the color palette. If you mess up, you can just undo your last stroke.
