In this week's Best Case Scenario, it's the return of the iPhone 4 case reviews! This week, we've got splendid cases from brands like Gumdrop, rugged and utilitarian Trtl Bot, eco-friendly BioSerie and makers of hand-made Moleskine look alike cases, Pad & Quill.
Gumdrop Surf Slider

Y'know how gum drop candies get a bit stale and are too hard to bite through after a certain amount of time on the shelf? The candy was delicious at one point, but somewhere along the line someone forgot to close the bag. This is sort of how we feel about this slider case from Gumdrop. While the camera lens and flash aren't affected by this form-fitting case's tight fit, accessing the volume and power buttons was a little tough with long fingernails. On the plus side, the case is thick enough to protect your precious cargo from unwanted cracks and scratches, and it's not that heavy either. (3 out of 5 | $34.99)
Trtl Bot Trtl Stand 4

I like making my iPhone stand up. It's like giving it legs or a new lease on life. This black case from Trtl Bot lets you do just that, so you can make upright FaceTime calls, watch teaser scenes from the upcoming TRON movies and pretend like the iPhone has only one wing to fly. The case is nice and sturdy, too, although docking the phone on an audio dock is a bit tough because of the thickness of the case. (3.5 out of 5 | $34.99)
Bioserie Bioplastic Cover

Just because it's made out of environmentally friendly, biodegradable material doesn't mean that the Bioserie case can't protect your iPhone. The bioplastic case covers every corner of your device and is thin and light enough that you won't even realize it's there. It's also got a bit of a buffer between the screen and the case, so if you put the phone face down, it won't touch the surface. The Bioplastic cover is also made of plants, so if you get a little hungry rumbly in your tummy just take a little bite out of the corner and...
Just kidding. You can't eat the case. (3.5 out of 5 | $34.95)
The Little Black Book for iPhone 4

If you're a starving artist, an introspective writer or James Franco, you might want this Moleskine iPhone case to match your lifestyle. It's definitely tough, so it'll save your phone from falls, and it's got a keyhole on the back so you can take stealthy camera photos of that hot pixie-haired geek chick sitting at the other side of the coffee shop. There's also a ribbon underneath where the phone rests so that you can easily remove the device to switch cases.
While you might not consider using this case on a day-to-day basis, it makes a wonderful little travel companion and a great way to hide your device if you take public transportation on a daily basis. (3.5 out of 5 | $39.99)
